As you may be aware, last month the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) announced that it had temporarily paused aquatic herbicide treatments in all Florida waters.
FSC has developed comments and recommendations for improving the current program. FSC's position statement is included at the end of this post, click the document for a full size version.
FWC is holding meetings to “provide the public with an opportunity to give feedback about management activities on Florida water bodies in the past 12 months.” The Florida Springs Council encourages our members to engage in the public comment process by attending any meetings in your area. There are currently three public meetings planned:
